Шведская группа Waldo’s People представит Финляндию на Евровидении 2009. Именно этим ребятам удалось победить в отборочном конкурсе (они набрали приблизительно 44 %.). После подсчета смс-сообщений и звонков, общее количество полученных голосов составило 275 000. Фантастическое выступление группы с блестящим… использованием эффектов не оставило равнодушными жителей Финляндии. Сами ребята прослезились, услышав результаты голосования. Лидер группы поблагодарил финский народ и пообещал сделать все достойно.
Waldo’s People выступит с данс-хитом “Lose Control”(A. Lehtonen, Karima, Waldo, A. Kratz Guta).

С состав группы входят 5 человек : Waldo и Karoliina Kallio - вокал, Sami Lehto - ударные, Karl Sinkkonen - клавишные, Kimmo Nissinen - гитара. С 1995 по 2000 год группа Waldo’s People выпустила 4 альбома, которые пользовались большой популярностью (особенно хиты “Feel So Good”, “It’s About Time” и “Move Your Body”). В 1998 увидел свет клип на песню “U Drive Me Crazy” - один из первых финских клипов, появившихся на MTV. После этого группа приобрела известность за пределами родной страны.
Будем надеяться, что возвращение этой группы после восьмилетнего перерыва не напрасно.
