Британские телезрители выбрали 21-летнюю певицу с Лондона, чтобы представить страну в этом году на Eurovision Song Contest. Джейд Эвен обошла двух других финалистов , выиграв шоу талантов “Твоя страна нуждается в тебе” на Би-би-си…
В прошлом году исполнитель от Соединенного Королевства занял последнее место на Евровидении-2008. Поэтому в этом году Эндрю Ллойд-Веббер (лауреат премии «Оскар» и автор таких произведений как «Иисус Христос Суперзвезда», «Призрак оперы», Кошки») попытался улучшить ситуацию написав песню для конкурса и поучаствовав в выборе исполнителя.
Известный британец, автор многих успешных музыкальных проектов, уже успел получить поддержку от российского руководства. Этой осенью он встретился в российской столице с премьер-министром Владимиром Путиным. После этой встречи Ллойд-Уэббер сообщил журналистам, что получил обещание от Путина поддержать британского участника “Евровидения” в Москве. Путин, по его словам, пообещал лично снять телефонную трубку и проголосовать за артиста, который будет представлять Соединенное Королевство в финале конкурса.
Финал конкурса “Вы нужны своей стране” состоялся в прямом эфире телеканала BBC One. Дима Билан был гостем программы и исполнил песню “Believe Me”. В финале соревновалось всего 3 претендента - Марк Эванс (актер и певец из Уэльса), Джейд Эвен и дуэт близняшек The Twins из города Шеффилд. Все три претендента исполнили песню Ллойд-Веббера ” My Time “, написанную, по его словам, всего за пару часов. Слова этой песни принадлежат американке Диане Уоррен, автору многих популярных композиций.
Ожидание закончено. Результаты объявлены. На третьем месте оказался Марк. На втором - The Twins. Что означает, что на Евровидение-2009 поедет Джейд.
Когда у Джейд появился шанс принять участие в “Ваша страна нуждается в вас” она знала, что многие не воспринимают Евровидение всерьез. Но если сам Эндрю Ллойд Уэббер готов принять в нем участие, почему бы не попробовать?
Девушка старается быть оригинальной в исполнении и честной во всем, что делает. Эти же качества она уважает в других артистах. Джейд Эвен дала обещание своей стране, что подойдет к подготовке к международному конкурсу очень серьезно. Певица очень решительна и действует по принципу “все или ничего”.
