Раннее СМИ проинформировали нас об отказе Латвии участвовать в конкурсе. Также латвийское телевидение решило не транслировать у себя конкурс. Причиной этому послужила тяжелая экономическая ситуация в стране. Однако недавно на латвийском телеканале было официально объявлено решение страны принять участие в Евровидении 2009…
Благодаря помощи спонсоров удалось изыскать необходимые суммы для оплаты участия страны в конкурсе. Спонсоры - Narvesen и латвийский Krajbank. Их деньги будут использованы для оплаты не только взноса за право участия, они также покроют все расходы делегации в Москве и позволят выпустить промо-материал.
