Одними из самых сильных соперников в борьбе за право представлять Россию в этом году являются Сергей Лазарев и Александр Панайотов. Как известно, в прошлом году Лазарева недооценили и отправили на Евровидение Диму Билана. В этом году сам Сергей не сильно рвется… выступить на конкурсе. Об этом в интервью на Первом канале рассказала известная телеведущая Яна Чурикова:
“Еще осенью мы обсуждали с Сережей его участие в конкурсе. Я говорила: “Ну что, давай! Теперь все в твоих руках”, но Лазарев сказал, что не видит смысла быть вторым.
Чурикова поддерживает точку зрения Сергея. Ведь этот замечательный певец и актер заслуживает быть первым (поэтому готов подождать еще один год).
Зато Александр Панайотов настроен очень решительно. Певец очень старается попасть на Евровидение независимо от прогнозируемого места и даже от представляемой им страны. Ведь в этом году он подал заявки сразу от двух стран: России и Украины. Вероятней для него пока остается Украина, т.к. у Александра украинский паспорт, да и национальный отбор Украины состоится раньше. Но второй шанс на российском отборе певцу обеспечен. Константин Эрнст уверяет:
“Я клянусь, что мы никого конкретного не продвигаем. Россия свои амбиции удовлетворила - “Евровидение” проходит в Москве, так что в данном случае нам просто нужно найти качественного артиста, который достойно представит страну. Так что мы находимся в процессе… “
