Для проведения международного конкурса «Евровидиние-2009» Москва запланировала «целый ряд работ», большая часть которых касается спорткомплекса «Олимпийского». В первую очередь мэр столицы запланировал обновить зрительный зал. В комплексе поменяют кресла и организуют несколько зон (вещательную, VIP и информационную). Также Юрий Лужков распорядился… о проверке и модернизации системы энергосбережения. В исполнении данных постановок московским работникам помогут сербские специалисты. Помощники из Сербии имеют соответствующий опыт т.к. все это уже проходили. «Все их консультации будут оплачены» - заявила мерия.
Запланированные события в Олимпийском расстроили планы Аллы Борисовны, она хотела провести свой 60-летний юбилей в здании спорткомплекса. Поначалу реконструкцию комплекса планировали провести после 12 апреля, т.е. после юбилея примадонны, но в таком случае для выполнения работ останется всего 2 недели (а это крайне мало). Так что Алле придется провести свой концерт в Кремлевском дворце съездов.
Обещают, что во время “Евровидения” будет открыт весь комплекс, а сцена будет выстроена до середины стадиона. Со второй половины сделают фан-зону и партер.
Отметим, что изначально за право проведения финала “Евровидения” помимо Олимпийского боролись “Лужники” и Ледовый дворец. Но у “Лужников плохая акустика”, а Ледовый дворец нуждается в капитальном ремонте. Да и самый лучший обзор для зрителей с любого места у спорткомплекса.
Спортивный комплекс был построен в 1980 году для проведения Олимпийских игр в Москве. Он состоит из двух сооружений: овального крытого стадиона и овального плавательного бассейна. Стадион «Олимпийский» имеет уникальное стальное висячее перекрытие-оболочку толщиной 5 миллиметров. Комплекс может поместить 25 тыс. зрителей, чего для “Евровидения” хватит с лихвой (на конкурс официально было заявлено 10 000).
