Итоги голосования зрителей еще раз доказали, что “Евровидение” - это конкурс прежде всего для молодых исполнителей. Звезда мировой величины, несмотря на многолетний опыт и популярность, заняла всего лишь 8-е место…
На следующий день, после финала француженка о своих эмоциях и чувствах: “Вчера я, конечно, была очень расстроена. - Но я благодарна всем, кто поддерживал меня. Главное, что Франция была вместе со мной”. Действительно телеканал “Франс 3″, купивший права на трансляцию “Евровидения” во Франции, сообщил, что число зрителей, следивших за развитием конкурса, достигло рекордной отметки как минимум за последние десять лет. Жители Франции так надеялись на победу, ведь их страна не побеждала на “Евровидении” с 1977 года.
Местные критики предположили, что публика ожидала иной “тональности выступления”. Композиция Патрисии Каас “И если нужно это сделать” была исполнена в волнующей, драматичной манере. В то же время песенка лауреата конкурса Александра Рыбака “Сказка” отличалась простым, но заразительным мотивом.
В своем интервью Каас призналась, что ее песня, “возможно, действительно была медленнее, чем ожидали зрители”. Однако, выступление французской дивы на московской сцене было пусть не победоносным, но вполне удачным.
