Лидия Копаня будет представлять Польшу в 54 выпуске конкурса «Евровидение-2009» с песней “I Don’t Wanna Leave”. Представительницу выбрали жюри и телезрители (последние голосовали путем отправки смс –сообщений). В финальном отборочном туре соревновалось… 10 исполнителей. Кроме них на концерте выступили звезды польской эстрады, а также специальный гость - победительница конкурса «Евровидение-2004» украинская певица Руслана.

Лидия Копания родилась 12 мая 1977 года в польском городе Колужки. Еще маленькой девочкой она принимала участие в конкурсе Miss Teen Poland, где завоевала специальный приз прессы. Одним из этапов конкурса было исполнение песни, и, во время своего выступления, девочка была замечена лектором музыкальной академии Лодза, Дариушем Грабовски. Благодаря знакомству с лектором Лидия Копания получила опыт работы с такими артистами, как Урсула Дудзяк и Кася Станкевич. Ее первым хитом стала песня “Niezwukly Dar”, которую написал Роберт Янсон.
В 2003 году девушка становится новой солисткой группы “Kind of Blue” (эта группа в 2000 году принимала участие в отборочном туре для Евровидения в Германии и заняла 3е место). В следующем году выходит первый альбом группы с новой участницей. Он носит название “Beating The Morning Rush”. За отлично выполненную работу “Kind of Blue” получает специальный приз немецкого телевидения “The John Lennon Talent Award”.
Через 2 года группа выпускает новый альбом, в число песен которого вошла композиция “It Must Be Love”. Эта песня была в составе резервных композиций на польском отборе для Евровидения 2007. С 2006 года по сегодняшний день многие песни для своего репертуара Лидия пишем сама.
