Имена участников конкурса давно объявлены, теперь зрители сосредоточились на вопросе “Кто же будет ведущим Евровидения 2009?”. Многие телеведущие горят желанием подняться на сцену международного конкурса. Их действительно можно понять: мероприятия столь высокого уровня… (аудитория «Евровидения» более 100 млн. человек) автоматически повышают статус, и, соответственно, стоимость, участвующих в них телезвезд.
После проведения финала отборочного российского тура, наиболее вероятными ведущими пользователи интернета считают Андрея Малахова и Яну Чурикову. Кстати, 18 марта Малахов получил награду самого стильного телеведущего года на ежегодном светском мероприятии World Fashion Awards (в борьбе за это звание Малахов обошел Ивана Урганта и Гарика Мартиросяна). После получения награды, он признался, что близок к осуществлению своей заветной мечты - вести Евровидение, хотя огорчен долгим ожиданием объявления ведущих. “Между потенциальными ведущими сейчас идет война не на жизнь, а на смерть, – заявил Андрей со сцены. – Я надеюсь меня услышат на Первом канале и позволят провести Евровидение”.
О своем желании провести конкурс в мае в шутку заявила в прямом эфире Первого канала знаменитая четверка программы «ПрожекторПерисХилтон». Во время ожидания результатов национального отбора России Иван Ургант, Сергей Светлаков, Александр Цекало и Гарик Мартиросян приводили плюсы своего ведения международного конкурса.
По результатам голосования (всего принимало участие более 19 400 человек), проведенного Первым каналом, четверо ведущих программы «ПрожекторПерисХилтон» набрали наибольшее количество голосов (26%), опередив Филиппа Киркорова (22%) и Яну Чурикову (17%). В список потенциальных ведущих национального канала также вошли Екатерина Стриженова, Анастасия Заворотнюк, Марат Башаров, Дима Билан и даже Ксения Собчак.
