Испанию представит певица Сорайя Арнелас, которая исполнит песню собственного сочинения под названием “La noche es para mi” (Эта ночь для меня). Песня ориентирована на широкий круг Европейских слушателей: в ней сочетаются мотивы восточных песен, западных поп-песен, а также смесь этнического звучания…
Сорайя Арнелась родилась 13 сентября 1982 года в испанском городе Валенсия де Алькантара. Через 10 лет ее семья переехала в Мадрид. В этом городе девушка получила образование, после чего стала стюардессой. Благодаря работе в авиакомпаниях она научилась говорить на английском, французском и португальском языках.
Однако Сорайе наскучила работа стюардессы, и девушка решила всерьез заняться пением. Вскоре она заняла второе место в четвертом выпуске музыкального конкурса «Операция Триумф» в 2005. В этом же году она выпустила свой первый альбом Corazon de fuego, который продержался очень долго на верхушке многих топ чартов. Сегодня, на ее счету уже четыре альбома Ochenta’s, Dolce vita и Sin miedo.
Последний из ее альбомов, который вышел в октябре 2008 года, стал довольно провальным, однако, Сорайя все равно решила выставить трек из него La Noche Es Para Mi на испанский отбор конкурса Евровидение-2009.
